M20 × 90mm bolt in grade 10.9 galvanised steel.

The plain shank carries shear load across the joint instead of the thread, so the parts cannot creep along the thread under sideways load. That is why structural connections specify bolts, not set screws. Grade 10.9 is a high tensile grade for heavily loaded structural and machine joints. The galvanised coating gives solid outdoor corrosion protection at a fraction of the cost of stainless.
